Through the trees you can see the well drilling rig. They expected to find water at about 120-130 feet down (we're 80 feet above the lake). The found water at 147 feet. After some problems, they finally finished the well. This well supplies water to the heat pump.
Water coming out of the ground is 55 degrees F year round. The heat pump extracts heat from the water and uses it to heat the air in the winter and pumps heat into the water to cool the air in the summer time.
