Framing:
The floor system is made up of 16" deep 2"x4" pre-engineered and pre-manufactured floor trusses. The exterior walls are SIPs - Structural Insulated Panels. Each panel consists of 7/16" of OSB (Oriented Strand Board - a type of plywood) a 5 5/8" layer of polystyrene insulation and another layer of 7/16" OSB. The doors and windows have been precut from the panels.
At this point, we're a bit frustrated. Weather, which was so good for so long, has turned wet on us and we're only getting 1-2 days of progress a week.

2: Planks have arrived and are in place. To see a movie of a plank

November 4: Weather has been good and progress has been made. The rest of the wall and roof panels have arrived, as have the floor trusses for the 2nd floor.
