Foundations:
The foundations are ICF's - Insulated Concrete Forms. They're like large, hollow, styrofoam Lego blocks.
Our founation contractor puts together a footing system that the blocks set on. The footing and wall are a monolithic structure and are poured at the same time.
The walls are 6" of reinforced concrete. The forms remain in place providing a nice, tight, insulated basement wall.
